By buying $750m of 2028/2029 notes and issuing $1.5bn of longer-dated 2031 and 2037 bonds, Angola materially shifts rollover risk out the curve. This reduces immediate external amortisation needs and may lower demand for short-dated secondary paper, while establishing larger reference sizes in the 2031/2037 curves that could affect relative pricing among oil-exporting sovereigns.
