On 28 October 2026 Bank of Uganda invited competitive and non‑competitive bids to reopen four existing Uganda Government Treasury Bonds offering a combined UGX 1.4 trillion across 2‑year, 5‑year, 15‑year and 25‑year maturities (settlement 29 October 2026) with published coupon rates and ISINs.

The invitation to tender is an announced funding operation: auction pricing will determine secondary‑market yields and the effective cost of local‑currency debt. Accepted auction prices/yields could influence short‑ and long‑end UGX sovereign yields and liquidity in the local government bond market, conditional on bid participation and allocation. Settlement is next day, so immediate primary issuance impact is limited to allocations and resulting investor cash flows.

Bank of Uganda to publish auction results (accepted amounts, cut‑off prices/yields and bid‑to‑cover) after the 28 Oct 2026 auction.
