On 3 September 2026 Egypt's cabinet approved a Ministry of Finance plan to raise about $3 billion through international bond issuances in fiscal year 2026/27, including conventional, innovative and credit‑guaranteed Panda bonds; execution will depend on investor demand and market conditions.

If executed, ~$3bn of additional sovereign USD issuance would add supply to the regional benchmark curve, particularly the belly and long end, and could increase competition for global USD allocations. That would likely raise refinancing premiums for competing sovereigns and corporates in similar maturities, conditional on timing, tenor and prevailing global yields.
