If talks progress to a Fund-supported programme, Mozambique’s sovereign and quasi‑sovereign external refinancing premia could narrow, particularly in the mid‑tenor (‘belly’), and improve external funding prospects for gas-linked projects. Conversely, stalled talks would keep rollover risk priced and limit access to lower‑cost external finance. Actual market responses depend on programme terms and timing, not the mission visit alone.
