Nigeria DMO opens October 2026 FGN savings-bond offer; 2y at 13.071%, 3y at 14.071%

On October 5, 2026, Nigeria's Debt Management Office opened subscription for October 2026 FGN savings bonds and set coupons at 13.071% for the two-year and 14.071% for the three-year bonds, with the offer window running through October 9 and settlement due October 14, 2026.

The coupons reset the short-to-medium domestic yield reference that banks, pension funds and retail investors use to price naira exposure. If subscription skews toward pensions and banks, it could deepen local-currency demand and reduce immediate FX funding needs; if dominated by cash/retail, the impact on institutional allocation and liquidity will be smaller. Actual FX or yield moves depend on subscription composition and secondary-market flows.

Offer closes October 9, 2026; settlement and listing on NGX scheduled for October 14, 2026.
