The desk brief
On October 5, 2026 OPEC+ agreed to keep oil production targets unchanged for November. Reuters reports Brent crude remains above $100 a barrel and the producer group said further policy changes are unlikely before 2027, sustaining tight market conditions.
With OPEC+ holding output and Brent above $100, oil-exporting fiscal accounts (including Angola’s) are likely to retain stronger oil revenue prospects versus importers. For Angola this supports government cashflows and its plans to deepen the domestic kwanza bond market and could underpin its 2027 oil-price assumptions, while importers face higher imported inflation and pressure on local rates and mid-curve borrowing costs.
OPEC+ core members scheduled to meet again on November 1, 2026.
