A higher Australian cash rate and the implied lift in Australian yields tighten global risk budgets and raise discount-rate pressure on long-dated, commodity-linked credits. This is a conditional channel: higher benchmark yields in Australia can increase financing costs for commodity buyers and reduce investor risk appetite for extended-duration EM commodity credits such as USD bonds from South Africa and Angola, but actual repricing depends on swap/US Treasury moves and investor flows.

Monitor Australian sovereign and swap yields and any near-term South African/Angolan USD bond trading or issuance for signs of spread or demand change.
