On Sept 9, 2026 the Bank of Uganda offered UGX 990 billion in a Treasury bond auction: a new 3-year (ISIN UG12G0609291, UGX 230bn), a reopened 10-year (UGX 330bn) and a new 20-year (ISIN UG12L1608466, UGX 430bn). Results will set cut-off yields and allotments.

The auction introduces new points on Uganda's local-currency curve and enlarges supply at the long end (20-year). Auction subscriptions and accepted amounts will determine whether short-end liquidity is absorbed or long yields compress/steepen; cut-off yields will set benchmark pricing for secondary market trades and portfolio allocation in UGX assets.

Bank of Uganda auction results: total bids received, amounts accepted and cut-off yields (expected after Sept 9, 2026 auction).
