Removing near-term Eurobond issuance lowers Ghana’s external primary supply pressure, which may ease competition for other sovereign borrowers in external markets. The fiscal financing burden shifts toward domestic debt markets and concessional/official creditors, concentrating rollover and liquidity risk on Ghana’s domestic bill and local-currency bond curve and on the banking system’s appetite for sovereign paper.
Monitor Ghana’s 2026 domestic funding plan and any announced domestic bond issuances or concessional loan agreements.
