Nigeria DMO issues request for advisers to prepare a 2026 Eurobond

On 30 June 2026 Nigeria’s Debt Management Office issued a formal request for expressions of interest for financial advisers, bookrunners and law firms to support a fresh international (Eurobond) issuance, signaling preparatory steps toward returning to global dollar debt markets.

If executed, a new Eurobond would increase Nigeria’s external funding optionality and could ease near-term rollover pressure on costly domestic debt by diversifying financing sources. The actual relief depends on deal size, tenor, pricing and global investor demand; a successful issuance would matter most for USD sovereign yields and Nigeria-specific spreads rather than broad regional curves.

Deadline for adviser proposals (July 13, 2026) and selection of lead arrangers/bookrunners.
